The line from Msida to Birkirkara
was almost in a straight line and was one of the fastest sections
of the railway it is now Triq
il Ferrovija The Iron
Way or Railway Street.
Just less than 100 yds. after Msida station was G.H. No 4 controlling
a road that led to Msida. A further 375 yds. from G.H. No 4 was
G.H. No 5 where the track was crossed by a narrow road that also
went to Msida. Santa Venera was sited opposite G.H. No 5 and
was often used as an unofficial stopping point.
The track continued for a
further 400 yds before G. H. No 6 was reach where Strada Welter
crossed the line. Shortly after the line crossed Strada Fleur-de-Lis before entering Birkirkara Station. |
