Museum Restaurant

After the railway closed Museum Station building lay unused for many years. Thankfully a local man saw the potential and converted the building to a restaurant which opened in 1986. Today Stazzjon Restaurant is run by Mark and his wife and is open most weekends. Alternatively you may also find them at their other restaurant in Rabat, The Peristyle Restaurant , which is located opposite the Roman Villa. For those interested in the railway a large model of engine No 4 is on display in the entrance area. The walls are hung with many old photographs of the railway which are available as souvenir postcards. |
